To sign up for this trek passengers must be completely acclimatized to altitude, it is recommended to start the trek at least three days after having been fully exposed to high altitude. Bring a lightweight personal backpack for daily use that will contain: drinking water, mosquito repellant, sunscreen, any personal medicine, cash for tips and crafts and your camera. The rest of your personal items should fit in a backpack or duffel bag that will be transported by the llamas and must have a maximum weight of 20 kg. (44 pounds). Pack comfortable layered clothes: fresh long sleeved shirt, long pants, closed trekking shoes, socks, hat, sunglasses, extra fleece jacket for fresh breeze, thick feather jacket for cool mornings and evenings, warm sleeping clothes, hat, gloves and rainproof clothes. Personal camping material is required: sleeping bag (- 0 ºC / 32 ºF), sleeping mat, tent (rainproof four season tent). You may bring your own or we may assist with local third party rentals.
