When visiting the areas of impact of the Llama Pack Project you will learn about the importance of llamas in conserving our mountain ecosystems while generating training and work opportunities for high-Andean families that are usually left aside by the tourism industry. Their integration in the tourism industry allows high-Andean families to secure sustainable management of their natural resources for future generations.
You will become familiar with the Llama Pack Project mission, meet members of the Local Guilds of Llama Breeders and herd the project llamas in the traditional Andean style while you learn all about this noble, native eco-friendly animal.

Visit duration: 3 – 4 hours (Half Day)
You will learn about the Llama Pack Project mission and the importance of conserving the Urubamba Mountain Range, hosted by members of the Local Guild of Llama Breeders while enjoying an amazing walk through a typical high-Andean mountain ecosystem herding their llamas in the traditional Andean style.
Difficulty: Moderate – Intense
Visit duration: 6 – 7 hours (Full Day)
You will learn about the Llama Pack Project mission and the challenges faced by llama herding families, hosted by members of the Local Guild of Llama Breeders while you enjoy a breath-taking walk towards a high-Andean community with their llamas herding them in the traditional Andean style.

Visit duration: 7 – 8 hours (Full Day)
The Multiday visits listed below, are an invitation to learn about our fragile mountain ecosystems and the challenges faced by members of the Local Guilds of Llama Breeders who are working to improve their native and eco-friendly llamas to be able to provide pack services for the growing tourism industry in a responsible and inclusive way that helps protect our mountain ecosystems and generate sustainable development within high-Andean villages exposed to the growth of tourism.
