Health Program
Our Health programs are developed with several partners who visit our partner high-Andean communities which are frequently marginalized by the health system. These visits are extremely important as they help families through different ailments that they would otherwise never be treated for. This holistic approach to the quality of life of our partner communities strengthen our bond of trust and respect and contribute to the achievement of our long term goals.
Free Medical Screening, Health Education and First-Aid Training:
In the past two years 5345 medical attentions were provided with partner organizations to community members from 10 high-Andean communities from our direct area of action and surrounding areas. Community members received free medical and dental screening and treatment and health education on several relevant topics. Emergency and Rural First-Aid trainings were also provided to community leaders and members of the Llama Pack team, adding an important skillset for their integration in tourism-related services.
Improved Kitchens for better health:
Improved kitchens were were installed in the homes of all Guild members to make a more efficient use of firewood and reduce the pollution generated by firewood smoke to prevent respiratory illnesses. This project was possible thanks to the kind contribution of W Capital SAFI, Wiese Foundation and ADRA.
